Overview

Every delivery belongs to an order and must be assigned to an available driver before it can begin.

Assignment rules

  • Only users with the Dispatcher role can assign drivers.
  • A delivery must be in Pending status.
  • The selected driver must be active and available.
  • The driver must operate in the same service zone as the delivery.
  • A driver cannot have more than 3 active deliveries.

When a driver is assigned

  • The driver is linked to the delivery.
  • The delivery status changes from Pending to Assigned.
  • The assignment timestamp is recorded.
  • The delivery remains linked to its original order.

Business objects and their relationships form a connected operational model, preserving the context behind every record.

State machines

Operational processes move through defined states and transitions, governed by business rules and permissions.

Declarative actions

Actions describe what can happen, under which conditions, and how the system should change when those conditions are met.

As requirements evolve, new actions, workflows, and interfaces can be introduced using the operational model already in place. Superspace can extend its capabilities through structured changes, validated against existing relationships, permissions, and business rules.
